Your donation will help GFS provide groups where girls make friends & develop life skills needed to handle the pressures & challenges that so many girls and women still face.
When girls can't be themselves it:
It affects their relationships: it can be harder to make real friends, leading to isolation and loneliness.
It harms their wellbeing: trying to fit in or worrying about how they look can lead to anxiety and poor mental health
It damages their confidence: which can lead to girls missing out on opportunities and believing that their voices don’t matter
It limits their lives & opportunities: girls are more vulnerable to gender stereotypes, social pressures and damaging attitudes which leave them at risk of exclusion, discrimination and harm
But at GFS girls can be themselves
At GFS we provide safe spaces where girls are accepted for who they are.
Our programme is shaped by listening to girls, and enables them to practise and develop key skills. This results in happier, more confident and more resilient girls, who have a greater ability to handle the life's challenges outside of GFS.
We launch new groups in communities where girls need us most.
We have an early intervention approach, working with girls mostly aged 5-12
Our groups and programme are non-competitive and inclusive. With very low subs, which are often waived, and no uniforms to buy.
Our Girls In initiative ensure everything we do is shaped by girls voices
A Will is a good way to plan for the needs of your family and loved ones. By leaving a gift to GFS in your Will, you can help us create a better future for girls today and tomorrow.
If you live in England or Wales, you can create a free Will from the comfort of your own home with our partner Kwill.
